Features
Description:
DVI fiber optic extender module consists of transmitter module and receiver module, which has a 1xLC connectors and a 18-pins DVI–D plug. Users could decide extension length at their discretion by choosing the length of fibre-optic cables with LC ferrules at the ends. It offers graphic TMDS signals to be extensible up to the limits of modal bandwidth of selected OM3 multi-mode glass fibers, There is a Serializer and a 6.4Gb/s Laser transmitter, serializer transform the 4x TMDS signals to a 6.4Gb/s high-speed serial data, and the laser transmitter convert the electronics signal to optical signal. There is a 6.4Gb/s optical receiver and de-serializer , it convert the 6.4Gb/s optical signal to a serial electronic signal, and the de-serializer transform the 6.4Gb/s high-speed serial data to the 4x TMDS signal.
It has a capability to transmit WUXGA (1920X1200) graphic signals with 60Hz refresh rate. At such data bandwidth, this module can extend up to 300 meters over MMF or 2km over SMF, which is much over the limits of copper wire extension, without any distribution amplifier or repeater.
The modules are constituted of three parts as follows;
- One transmitter converting electrical to optical signals
- One receiver converting optical to electrical signals
- Two AC Adaptors to 110V-240V with DC 5V 1A outlet
