Introduction

This SDI extender over coax includes SDI transmitter and SDI receiver.  It is similar to SDI repeater, but normally SDI repeater is used by one, to extender SDI signal for about 200m. This SDI extender over coax could transmit SDI signal to 500m over coaxial cable.  It supports resolution of 1280 x720 (24/25/30/50/60fps) and 1920 x1080 (24/25/30fps) with embedded surge protection cables.

Advantage

We know now SDI extender over fiber optic cable is used widely in CCTV surveillance projects compare the post, but SDI extender over fiber will add project cost ,if SDI camera transmits for a short distance. But using one SDI repeater could only extend SDI signal to 200m. So this SDI coxial extender make it up. Using SDI coxial transmitter and receiver it could transmit about 500meter. Its price is almost similar to one SDI repeater, so it saves a lot for system integrator and end user.
