4K UHD resolution video is a trend in the AV transmission projects, Now many munufacturers have developped 4K resolution products like 4K camera, 4K LED display, 4K HDMI splitter,  4K HDMI encoder and so on.

How about 4K video resource to be transmitted over fiber optic cable? Now in China market, there are 4K HDMI fiber optic extenders from different manufacturers, but all is only HDMI 4K@30Hz, no matter it is compression soluton or uncompressed solution. But overseas especially in USA and Europe, buyer are more like 4K@60Hz fully.  HDBaseT has a solution for HDMI2.0 4K@60Hz IP entender, but some times, project more likes fiber optic cable solution for longer distance over 100meter. Of course , you could use HDMI 2.0 AOC fiber cable for the limitation of 300meters.

Now our company is developping 12G-SDI fiber optic extender which could fully meet 4K@60Hz resolution. It has 12G video bandwidth which is the same as 2 chanels 6G-SDI or 4 channels of 3G-SDI. It is SMPTE standard and compatible with 3G-SDI, HD-SDI, ASI, TS stream. There is many mufacturers in China marekt for SDI fiber optic extender but to be the truth, most SDI extender over fiber is CCTV surveillance quality, no reclock, could not support SDI pathologcial test, could not support ASI, TS stream. So when you purchse such product, please not these issue and check their solution is compressed or uncompressed to avoid any after sales problem.
