HDMI encoder and decoder is used more widely in video transmission of short distance. This solution could save the project budget, and easy wire installation using cat5. Another advantage is the flexibility of video transmission since such solution could support point to point, point to multipoint, multipoint to multipoint.  HDMI encoder and decoder transmission way could be called as HDMI extender over Ethernet or HDMI IP extender.
